New Progress in the video chat world!

A lot of us in the current generation sit and surf the internet every day and utilize software’s to video call and video chat. Video chatting and webcam chat have become an integral part of our lives and we use it as it were always there, but then no it was not always there! Ask your parents and your grandparents what all they had to do in their times to be able to communicate with friends and family all over the world. They are the people who will tell you that things like free video chats and free webcam chats were un imaginable in those days and the current cam to cam rage was unknown, unheard of and unimaginable in their times.

Technology has progressed by leaps and bounds and what was unimaginable yesterday is possible today and what is unheard of and unthinkable is going to be possible tomorrow! Who knew, that one day the heads of a company with offices all over the world, will be able to hold multiple conferences in a year without worrying about the costs and without moving a step out of their offices in different parts of the world. All this has been made possible thanks to the technological advancements in the video chat and video conferencing sectors.

Things have become so good that developers are now working on 3d and 4d aspects in video chat and web conferencing. The concept now is not just the ability to be able to speak to one or more people while seeing the, but also the ability to see the other person in a 3d environment which makes It everything close to the real thing, if not better than the real experience.

Video Chat: A big part of our lives.

When we sit down on our computers and launch popular software’s like Google chat and Skype on our pc's, little do we think these video chat, webcam chat, cam to cam chat software’s and such that are a big part of our lives today; were virtually non-existent till a couple of years ago. Till a few years back there was no chat, no video calling, no video chatting and no nothings! People used to find it hard to communicate and friends and relatives were constantly on the lookout for a mode or a medium to communicate face to face, and that too without extravagant costs. Internet was one medium in earlier times, but emails use to be limited to 2MB and it was still all text. Images, graphics, multimedia were not possible, leave alone the possibilities of seeing each other while chatting using webcam chat and / or video calls.

It was probably at that point of time when software developers looked at the hardcore requirement for a mode or medium of communication that allowed voice, video and text all at the same time. This was the apparent birth of software's that enabled video chatting, webcam chat, cam to cam, video calls and more. The best part was that most of these software's were free and provided facilities for free webcam chat as well. As developments progressed in this field, big time software and email provider companies started providing an integrated instant message facility along with their email. This way a person sending an email could easily also chat with the other person, if online, in real time.

As software's progress further, instant messenger service providers are now working hard on providing an inbuilt video chat and video call facility, so that if a person is sending his family, in another state/country, an email and finds any of them online, he can easily do a cam to cam or a free webcam chat with them, in real time. These facilities are being built into the stand alone integrated messengers or into the ones that are integrated into email. If this is now, who knows what is next!
